Key Information about MCI-ASIC
The MCI-ASIC is a multichannel CCD and CMOS Image Acquisition device.
Each channel contains:
- Over-Voltage Protection Unit
- Programmable Clamp Unit
- Correlated Double Sampler (CDS) Unit
- 8-bit Offset Compensation DAC
- Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) Unit (8-bit, 0 to 10 V/V)
- 12-bit ADC
- Test DAC
- Serializer
- Temperature Measurement Unit for the Sensor and the ASIC
- SPI Interface for programming and temperature readout
In addition the ASIC contains:
- PLL
- On chip programmable DLL for CDS timing generating
- Power-down mode implementations
- Temperature Measurement Unit for the Sensor and the ASIC
- SPI Interface for programming and temperature readout
- On-chip Voltage Reference

Key Performance Characteristics:
- Guaranteed monotonicity and no missing codes
- Sampling rate from 3 to 20 Msps
- Power: 70 mW/ch at 20 Msps readout rate
- Power-down mode
- Input Signal full-scale: 2.5V
- Maximum Channel INL: 3 LSBs at PGA gain=1V/V
- Maximum Channel INL: 5 LSBs at PGA gain=10V/V
- Temperature Drift: <50 ppm/degC
- Channel Crosstalk: - 65 dB
- Ability to measure CCD or CMOS Sensor and on-chip temperature
- TID: 300 Krad (tested)
- SEU LET onset: 50 MeV.cm2/mg (to be confirmed)
- SEL and SEFI free up to LET of 67 MeV.cm2/mg (to be confirmed)
